Our Approach

Community building is at the heart of everything we do. Creating a sense of community for all the formerly homeless residents who come to us promotes socialization skills, reduces isolation, and fosters maximum well-being and independence.

Who We Serve

Meeting our clients where they are is key to our approach at BCHS. We offer targeted programming and resources for people experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness, including domestic violence survivors, families, seniors, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, formerly incarcerated individuals, individuals with mental illness, and low-income working adults from the community.

How We Serve Them

In addition to creating a sense of community for everyone we work with, BCHS takes a holistic approach to client care to ensure maximum independence, health and well-being. We also provide a comprehensive set of therapeutic, educational, and recreational activities to help achieve these goals.

BCHS’ compassionate team delivers tailored services to meet our clients’ individual needs, including case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling, support groups, vocational assistance, health and wellness programming, independent living training, and more.

We additionally provide specialized activities such as horticultural therapy, art therapy, and drama groups, which are particularly beneficial for individuals healing from trauma or dealing with multiple health conditions or mental health disorders.
